A prototype showcasing our Green15 IoT blueprint
Green15 is Aprodium's customizable and modular Internet of Things platform composed of hardware, software, cloud, and app components.
In this case it was implemented as a smart device prototype to personalize a space by adjusting levels of air, aromas, light, and sounds, based on the readings obtained by its environment sensors as well as user inputs in an app.
The device has onboard computing power, internet connectivity, and batteries that last for an entire day.
PROJECT EXAMPLE: An apparently simple product also has its own little complexities
For a skater, a ramp may be an obstacle to be jumped over, for an entrepreneur, it may represent a launchpad. It was extremely rewarding for Aprodium to work with this resilient startup on making their product concept a product reality launchable to market.
When our client approached us with the idea of a skateboarding ramp it initially seemed like a simple project. Even if this was one of the simplest products we have designed (no electronics, no software, etc.) we quickly confirmed one more time that every product has its details and challenges.
The client requested multiple concurrent requirements: dynamic load resistance, maximum weight and size, weather conditions, transportability, modularity, and many others.
This project was successfully executed in a fairly agile schedule, advancing it from early idea, to multiple prototypes, to detail design for manufacturing in about 3 months.

Phase 2 - Ideation and Design (5 weeks): Outcome: Marketing Renderings, 3D Models, 2 Prototypes
Phase 3 - Prototypes Building (3 weeks): Outcome: Design for Manufacturing Documentation (CAD/BoM)
